Dupe: Armani Luminous Silk Vs L’Oreal Lumi Foundation Review
Hello beauties! I ran out of my favorite foundation a few months ago. This foundation happens to be the holy grail of foundations with the price to match. With a baby on the way I couldn’t bare to spend that amount of money when it could totally go to things like nursery decor or a few boxes diapers. Look at me taking on motherhood so selflessly! Hehe! I remembered that I had seen that my foundation had a “dupe,” so I researched it & ran out to check it out for myself. Dupe: Armani Luminous Silk Vs L’Oreal Lumi Foundation Review, keep reading to see how these two compare & differ. Battle of high end vs drugstore!
What skin type do they cater to?
These foundations are best for dry to normal skin, and for those who want a light-medium coverage with a dewy finish. Both are totally buildable, meaning you can continue to layer it to provide more coverage.
Left: L’Oreal Right: Armani
- $62 (but there is a $42 travel size)
- Sephora, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus/online; high end makeup counters
- 24 shades
- 1 oz
- 15 shades
- 1 oz
The side with the sleeve on is the L’Oreal, and the side with sleeve off is Armani. I tested them side-by-side with primer, using a stippling method. Below I linked some amazing, affordable stippling brushes- trust me, this method leaves your foundation as if it were airbrushed. Try it! The Real Techniques one is my favorite!
How They Differ:
- Shade range
Can you tell the difference? I sure couldn’t! Both leave an equally flawless finish. I walked out of the house & wore both the entire day. By the end of the day, both were still on flawlessly & oxidized the exact same way. If you’re looking for a luminous, dewy foundation, you can’t go wrong with either. It’s honestly a matter of whether or not you want to be bougie and spend the money on the higher priced item. Personally, I plan to keep using the L’O real one until it runs out! PS: In case you didn’t know, L’Oreal actually owns Giorgio Armani.
I actually loved doing this post, so I’ve decided to make this some type of a series & doing my research & finding some more awesome dupes! Any item you’re interested in finding a dupe for? Let me know below!
